The Curonian Spit (Kuršių Nerija)

It is a narrow peninsula 97 km long. The Baltic sea in the west and Curonian bay in the east wash its shores.

Curonian Spit National Park is founded in the 52-km-long territory belonging to Lithuania. The landscape of the Curonian Spit is a very distinctive one. It encompasses sand dunes scattered with unique, blossoming flowers and vegetation. Amongst the dunes are hundred year old pine trees and clusters of mountain pines planted by men.
